How about a tire that going bad with a bump somewhere on the tread face or an area that's not fully supporting the load equal as it rolls down the road. Would appreciate any and all suggestions. Thinking a second opinion would be in order went to local transmission shop (Coleman Taylor) and got a diagnosis of transmission pump worn and not performing adequately, replacement would also include torque converter rebuild and transmission reprogramming, cost $3600. Hard acceleration is good but when on level or light grade uphill or downhill lightly pressing the accelerator causes a shudder type vibration.ĭealer said needed new plugs and fuel system tune, I bit the bait and $513 later was told the vibration was the torque converter, replacement cost $2515. 3.5L Ecoboost w/6speed 130k miles started feeling a vibration similar to running over the 'wakup strip' on the side of the highway under mild acceleration above about 45mph and up.
